I am becoming a regular here with my father's rental flat and its woes. Dad is too poorly to manage it, i have power of attorney and there is a letting agent but of course the buck stops with me. This year so far : boiler not working (only 1 year old) because losing pressure because radiator pipes are disintegrating. So BGas goes in and replaces all at cost of £1700, and while he's there the BGas guy notices a lot of water on the ground of the bathroom. He had no suggestions to make as to where it was coming from (the pipes? the shower?) or how to rmeedy it, but when pressed said the whole shower should be ripped out, and replaced.I had the whole place refurbished with new shower just over 2 years ago.
Any suggestions as to how to acurately "diagnose" where the water is coming from? Do I need a plumber? A builder? or go back to the guy who fitted the shower?
Thanks in advance.
