Where can I get a stair carpet like this?

I really love this rainbow Cath Kidston carpet but it was discontinued a few years ago. I haven't seen anything like it. Does anybody know how to go about getting a very similar one?

The Crucial Trading linear metre is 4m wide though (they don't make runners)

Approx one linear metre sliced up did my stairs very nicely - it was £214 Smile

(Not the wide stripes)

How many stairs do you have Finest? Or do you know how much length you needed?

How much would Roger Oates have charged per metre? I would buy too if it is the same as the CK one (so we could both place the same order, we are doing a loft conversion so may need more than 7m.

13 stairs plus a short bit of landing at the top

They're 80cm wide & the landing is just under a metre long. There was a small bit left over as well.

1 slice did 4 stairs, & each stair (tread + riser) is 45cm, so I must have had just under 2m length, or 8sqm altogether? (though that doesn't add up, it was more than £25 per sqm!)

It's this one, Willow. List price is £67 per sqm so that doesn't add up at all Confused The place I got it from doesn't charge that much but still.

Just had one fitter say I need 3m of it. We have fifteen stairs inc 3 winders. Very expensive! Not sure we can do it. Shock

Our stair are only 70 cm wide too. How did it look Finest? Do you have any winding stairs? The fitter said stripes look funny in winding steps.

The Rug Company quoted nearly 3.2k for 7m Shock. I am considering the Audrey but its not quite the colour scheme I had in mind.

Willow - there are some winders with striped carpet on this link .They look rather nice to me .

No winding stairs on mine, Willow - just straight up (there is a side step up to the main landing but that's just plain beige like the rest of upstairs)

It looks fine - the stripes are possibly very slightly askew but not enough to matter. I can imagine winders do complicate matters though

Thank for the link Ginger

Did anyone end up carpeting their stairs in something similar to the OP's link...without breaking the bank?

silversixpence · 10/01/2016 23:39

I have got a quote from Rug Couture which I will follow up once we move to the new house. Not totally out of budget although 1k on a stair carpet would probably seem mad to a lot of people! The wool samples they sent are lovely quality and they sent three shades of each colour so you can choose. The 3d mock up they did was also identical to the CK carpet.

I didn't follow up Roger Oates as they want you to buy 20m and it didn't look as good in a flat weave. I am also unsure about how hard wearing a flatweave rug would be on stairs.
