flooring - where to begin?

I have awful floors. It's a ground floor flat and an epoxy resin floor which was done in one pour and is in every room. It has swollen and cracked in several places and now looks hideous. We have underfloor heating so that limits the type of flooring we can replace it with. The doors are hung on pivots set into the resin rather than traditional hinges (they're like glass office doors) so the doors would have to all be taken down etc.

What kind of flooring can I replace it with? It can't be repaired in patches and costs about £100 per square metre to redo - I can't afford that for a 190sqm flat!!

It needs to be abraded, like chipped off and removed rather than have something laid on top of it (because of the heating and so the doors will fit) what kind of tradesmen will do this? Are there specialists who can advise me on what it might cost and how to choose a floor covering that will cost less and fit in with my home?

I don't even plan on living with it. I can't sell it and we need to rent it out so we can move to a proper family home outside London, so it has to be attractive and in good condition, but I don't want to spend 20 grand on it!
