Anyone got an Aga in a well insulated house?

What are your experiences re room/house temp - essentially does it make your home too warm? Current house very well insulated, triple glazed etc, worried we'll stew!

I'm planning a new kitchen soon and I'd really like an Aga. Had one before but that house was big and draughty/uninsulated so it was a great thing.

I like having the cooker/ovens on-tap as it were, the steady warmth from it and being able to use it immediately and for all sorts of things (drying the dog, drying laundry etc) mean I don't find the total control ones very appealing - I'm thinking of an oil one, the bigger one.

I did wonder if there was such a thing as a wood pellet equivalent but haven't seen any.

I would imagine that an oil-fired one would make a well-insulated house unbearably hot.

My kitchen in a very cold, uninsulated, old house never falls below 20 degrees once the aga is on.

We have an electric night storage powered Aga in a super insulated house. We turn it off in the summer (well, Apirl/May to October) and use an oven for cooking. It would be unbearable otherwise but it's fantastic in the winter.
