I'm so weary from looking at tiles. I just love the dandelion ones from Sweden but shipping only for two samples is £29 - I must be realistic!

I would do appreciate some links to any tiles (available in the UK) that you are considering. Thanks Smile

Here are screenshots of the gallery images with locations - all in London so if you are here that could work?

There was one other at psycle studios in London as well. Hope that helps.

Hi Lelivre,

When I was looking at tiles I came across a couple of companies that did ones that were like the dandelion ones but slightly cheaper, only issue was they didn't do a black/grey and white version which was what I wanted, I've found these best-tile.co.uk/moroccan-handmade-encaustic-cement-tiles/pre-sealed-moroccan-encaustic-cement-hexagonal-tile-artic-15-hex.html and will see if I can remember the other internet site.

FYI I did get a couple of samples from them of other designs in my mammoth tile search and they were nice quality.

Wowfudge, how strange that you already have these! Glad to hear they look good - I love the oat colour. I have browsed the johnsons website and prefer the larger size - how do you buy direct from johnsons? Can't see a way to order through that website.

BoomKapow · 07/09/2015 20:41

Alicia I have just put the leaf ones in 300x100 into a steam room and they look great (photos mainly of a bench but you can see them in the top).

Also just putting in the emery et cie in patchwork in a bootroom. Also really cool but a much bolder look!

www.johnson-tiles.com/

I think you can buy direct from the johnsons website. They will def send you samples so you can check the colour in real life.

SwedishEdith · 07/09/2015 20:47

Oh, I wish I hadn't seen that site all. We tiled a bathroom floor last year and now I want some of those instead.

SwedishEdith · 07/09/2015 20:48

Oh, sorry, it was suzy's link

wowfudge · 08/09/2015 09:48

Hi alicia - I emailed [email protected] via the Contact tab on their website. The staff in their factory outlet dealt with my query were really helpful - confirming the tiles were the same as the Topps ones, that they are first quality, etc and when I was ready to place my order it was done over the phone and they sent me a receipt with the delivery.

I already had a sample from wallsandfloors and realised it was the same tile as I had a sample from Topps - I was looking for something close to the Attingham but I didn't want to pay £53psm! The name Johnsons was impressed in the back of both samples I had together with the same number.

Photo of the oat gloss in situ.

Thank you boom and wowfudge for the pictures. Both look amazing! Thanks for the contact info too wowfudge - I'll contact them by email and see how much the larger tiles are vs. smaller tiles from walls and floors. Just need to decide if I want the leaf or oat colour now....

Lelivre · 08/09/2015 12:53

I have to say I rather like this from the Johnson site although I wanted to go for a bit more colour.

Currently loving these from Tiles Direct. I think it's the fact they simultaneously look modern & cube-y but also floral when over a larger area.

Lulu I like them too. They would actually be perfect in my kitchen but I was daring myself to go for more colour.

What is the m2 price please?

wowfudge
glad to see you got your way and had the sides of the window tiled too and I think it looks great.

dynevoran · 08/09/2015 14:25

Loving the last two photos .

Acer77 · 08/09/2015 14:37

I love those dandelion ones. I know someone who has them and her bathroom looks amazing!!!

WhatWouldFlopDo · 08/09/2015 14:38

We had these put in the bathroom a couple of years ago and I still love them. Have a look at wallsandfloors.com if you get a chance, they were really good for choice and delivery.

£39.32 m2, which isn't too awful. Especially not when you've recently priced up Fired Earth floor tiles and had a quote for £13.5K, for part of the kitchen floor.

Lelivre · 08/09/2015 15:49

Lulu - good to know, thanks Smile

Fired earth know how to charge. I saw some I rather liked until I saw the price... £699m2

It was a battle of wills Ruhrpott! But fully tiled is what that means to me.

Alicia wallsandfloors sell the same two sizes as Johnsons - 20x10cm and 30x10cm. Topps have only the larger 40x15cm ones.

aliciagardner · 08/09/2015 20:20

Wowfudge, thanks. I didn't spot the 30cm size before on walls and floors but found it now. 30cm is more expensive per m2 than the 20cm, which seems weird as surely more tiles needed for a m2 in the smaller size (or am I being really thick?!). Anyway, am thinking leaf colour for bathroom right now....

wowfudge · 08/09/2015 20:35

The bigger ones are bigger and thicker? If the price is per tile than you need fewer of the larger ones psm. Johnsons box the tiles up so one box = 1 square metre.
