Can you give me your opinions on the houses pasted here - Hastings and Bexhill

Good morning ladies, can you give me your opinions on these houses please? Firstly on the houses themselves and then the areas they are in?
We are looking for a nice spacious 3/4 bed house with a big garden in a good neighbourhood. Happy to have a bungalow or house, but detached would be favourite. We have on DD who is 7, so near a nice school (we're not religious) with the potential of a good senior school. Am not fussed about being near the beach, but would ideally love to be by Alexandra Park or woodland.
So here we go:

  1. St Helens Rd £270k
  2. Tower Road West £340k
  3. Banhorn Road Bexhill £450k
  4. St Helens Rd £330k
  5. Glenleigh Ave, Bexhill SOLD but just to give you the idea

My favourite is no 2, but I have no idea if its a good area or not.

Any guidance would be much appreciated :)

  1. St Helens Rd £270k

First impressions are that it looks a little tired, the porch roof isn't in the best of conditions so I would be a little concerned that they hadn't looked after it. It looks quite dated inside. Picture 7, what's wrong with the ceiling?
I doubt I'd go and look at it.

  1. Tower Road West £340k

Looks like half of a pair of semis! I'd def. go and look at this. I assume the tennis courts are municipal ones close by?

  1. Banhorn Road Bexhill £450k

So far this has the most 'kerb appeal'
It looks nice enough inside but not as nice as the previous one, it just doesn't have the feel good factor.

  1. St Helens Rd £330k

Nice gardens and having the nature reserve close by is a bonus. I hate the double arch in the kitchen and don't like the bathroom tiles so I wouldn't view this one unless I was prepared to do work on it.

  1. Mill Lane Hastings

Hideous inside but looks lovely from the outside and the views are lovely. I'd go and view if I was prepared/able to completely redo the interior.

  1. Amherst Close

It's OK. Nothing special I think.

  • only benefit is that it's cheap!

  • it's a local tennis club I think

-there is apparently a new estate being built in the woodland so I have removed this from my list

  • yes I'm not keen on that either, would need to spend money on it

-you don't like the turquoise bathroom witch? It is hideous inside, so would need to add in the costs for that.

-nothing special I agree, but might be a nice area...

Sarf we currently have the same bathroom but in orange. Turquoise is much, much better.....but no, I don't like it.

SarfEasticatedMumma · 18/08/2015 12:38

Orange eh Witch that would wake you up in the morning!
DH and I are terrible at DIY, so realistically I think we would avoid the houses that need too much work

Yeah, it's tango orange...luckily it's being ripped out as soon as I can find a decent plumber.

I have a few more if you can be bothered to look? Obviously you're busy people, but just a teensy steer on the areas would be good if you don't mind?
King Edward Ave seems a bit out of the way, but can't tell on map if there are cafes etc near by..
Priory Close looks a bit bland but looks handy for the park and the station
Lower Park Road too big and too expensive really, but pretty impressive house and in a good location (I think).

I plan on buying a dog, so want to be somewhere close to a spot where I can walk her...
Any advice would be great Flowers
