Do you have blinds in your bathroom?

Just fitting a new bathroom and wondering if blinds are needed....

No, just obscure glass in windows.

No. If overlooked then obscured glass.

Yes. Purely decorative. It's a moisture resistant fabric effect roller blind.

Yes, they're handy at night if you're overlooked.

No. I don't even have curtains in the sitting room. Window dressings are IMHO solely for keeping the light out in bedrooms.

But I do have frosted glass on the bottom half of the windows.

Well my opposite neighbours don't and despite obscure glass I can clearly make out their naked bods if I glance to the window.

I have a blind in my bathroom as the window is on the main road. The houses at the back of me don't and almost every night when I'm washing up I can see someone having a shower. I don't intentionally look but I can clearly see them even with frosted glass.

We have obscured glass and a roller blind. The roller blind is a grey and white geometric print daylight one from john lewis. I have to have both. If you're unsure, put your bathroom light on, ask someone to stand naked in front of the window and go outside. Youd be surprised at how much you can see! I don't want my neighbours to see that much of me.

That's what I'm worried about - being an (obscured) pink blob!! The windows are frosted but the only way I can know if the neighbours are going to get an eye full is by asking. They are elderly so I don't really want to do that.

Yep my neighbours with frosted glass are fully visible. More than just pink outlines . Blinds are the kindest approach.

yes. ours and neighbours bathroom windows are directly opposite and even through 2 sets of obscure glass we can see naked people the outlines when it's dark outside/light inside...
so blinds spare us and them some embarrassment

I'm going to get blinds for our neighbours sake! Any recommendations for a traditional style bathroom?

Yes, obscured glass, which is fine by day, but also a rather fetching dotty blind for when the light is on. There are holiday flats at the back but there's no need to provide a cabaret for them

I have obscured glass & wooden venetian blinds, although they are usually on the open setting.

I would love to get plantation shutters, even half way up, but they are so expensive.

Obscured glass offers no privacy at night time!

No blinds here. Regular glass. But the bathroom looks over the garden and fields. I like having a shower looking out over the garden ! Last house had clear glass but ankle height windowsills. Didn't like so much being seen sitting on the toilet...

No blinds here, but were not overlooked at the side or back of house, which is where the bathrooms are.

Our last house wasvat the bottom of a cul de sac, so anyone coming up the road looked towards us and ndn. The bathrooms in those houses were at the front, and we had blinds there. NDN didn't, and quite often I'd come home at night to the sight of ndn in all his glory in the bathroom. Obscured glass really isn't very obscure at night.

Have one (roller blind) but never use it. Previous owners installed it. Regular glass. The bathroom isn't overlooked at all.

I have silver horizontal blind even though it's obscured glass. The house behind me has obscured glass only in the bathroom and I can clearly see her naked in there when the light is on when it's dark. Not just a vague outline either.

We never have had blinds in the bathroom despite backing onto a lane . Always meant to but just never got around to it and now we're moving.

To be fair I rarely ever shower at night so I'm not too worried by people seeing the back of my head when I wee (I rarely even bother to put the light on to use the loo).

I will put blinds in the new house bathrooms though- Blinds 2go do bathroom blinds and they are great. We got a couple of kitchen blinds from them and were so impressed I'll use them throughout the new house. Basically they are made to measure blinds for the price of the ones you have to cut down in other shops. I really hate having to cut blinds to size.

Pil don't have blind in downstairs loo, window looks out on to street. It has frosted glass type thing however you can still see everything! I could see my BIL standing there, leaning on the wall whilst pissing, moving about etc. so I would say yes to blinds!
