Would this look ok at the side of the front door? Or one either side maybe?

I'm trying to cover up a hideous painted house number at the side of my door (previous owners thought it would be a good idea to gloss paint the number in huge letters at hip height!) and need something to go over it. These planters are perfect size, but will they look daft low down? I'm painting the front door, either red or green, I'm undecided at the minute, but these planters have a bit of each colour so would blend in.

What about a nice slate door number, but on a very large piece of slate so it would cover the whole thing?

Spydra, that looks about right! If I mounted it on a wooden backboard maybe, it could just about cover it.

I've tried taking a photo, but it's hard to do without the house being too visible, and I have a nice shiny new plaque with the number and street on which would be there for all to see!
