Exterior floor paint

My new house has a patio area which has a roof but is open at the front.

It currently has decking tiles which are beyond hideous, so my plan is to take them up and paint the concrete floor a bright blue (with the walls white and the furtinture painted in primary colours (a bit like this only with painted floor instead of grass).

I have no idea where to buy exterior floor paint. Everything I can find is in industrial black, or else seems to be for internal floors (while the patio is a bit protected from the weather, it's still fairly exposed so don't think interior floor paint will last). Can I use masonry paint? I'm so confused!

I'm wondering what will happen to moisture trapped in the concrete, or rising from the ground.

It might push the paint off in scabs.

If it was a concrete wall it would not be recommended to use an impervious coating. Concrete Floor paints are mostly used for indoor warehouses and factories.

I think you would be better off using a stain that was absorbed by the concrete rather than a paint that would sit on top and eventually peel off like PJ says.

The concrete doesn't need protecting, what you're doing is cosmetic.
You may need several coats to get the colour you want but will be easy to just slap another coat on when it fades.

I'd be inclined to try a powder paint that you can mix to the required strength.

Concrete floor paint is pretty widely used. I can't see it coming off unless the surface is unsound to begin with.

I think I have only seen it on indoor floors. I gather this one is open to the weather.
