Would you use a brand new estate agency?

So, we're about to put our house on the market and received a flyer through our door from a new agency offering 0% fees.

Obviously I'll check the fine print and use other agents to benchmark their valuation but do you think it's risky using inexperienced agents who don't have a database of buyers?

Properties sell like hot cakes around these parts by the way.

I would want to know how long I was committed to using them for.

If it was just a month or so I'd give them a try but I'd want to know what their experience in EA was & who else they had worked for & how experienced their staff were.

They could be very good as they will have a lot to prove.

And I would assume they would use Rightmove, Zoopla etc.

I used an agent new to the area when I sold a house last year. No tie in period, fees same as others locally. The EA was really switched on, likeable and easy to deal with. She had a buyer before the place was on Rightmove. Next door but one is still languishing on the market seven months later with a different, well-established agent.

Sold ours with housenetwork online agents and very happy. Up front fee but saved 5kin commission. Bidding war going on today after first viewings yesterday. Fab photos taken by them. Would recommend

I'd definitely go with a brand new agency, if I liked them once they'd been round to value. They should be ultra keen to work hard for you.
