Changing tiling only in a bathroom, worth the effort or not?

We have been in our house over 10 years and still are not in a position to rip the whole thing out and start again. When we moved in we repainted the walls, changed the cheap vinyl for some nicer cheap vinyl and got rid of the wooden loo seat Hmm and bath panel. The suite is white and the tiles are white.

I know you can buy bathroom suites very cheaply, but it would be the labour that would be out of reach. I am wondering if we could change the tiles but not the suite? Also wondering if we could change the horrible shower enclosure and not the shower tray. Tiles are currently on a 'need' basis only, round bath, sink and shower cubicle. Would like to tile floor too. We would be doing our own tiling etc.

Do you think the amount of effort will be wasted because it will always look a bit meh? But don't really want to wait another 10 years.....

I changed the tiles in my previous kitchen. Nothing wrong with them per se but I just thought they didn't go at all! I then repainted.

it looked and felt much better, so yes, go for it!

We changed our kitchen tiles. I thought it was going to be horrendous but it was done really easily. I think it does rather depend on how good the wall is for retailing once they've removed the old ones though.

Thanks, glad you had some success.
