Kitchen floor advice needed please

I have a wooden kitchen floor, 18 years old. Last year had it sanded and revarnished. it now marks at the slightest thing. It has tramlines in it and some of it has chipped off.

It looks a bit knackered looking, less than a year after sanding and varnishing. Like the wood is too soft to take movement of white goods etc. I'm assuming I need a new floor? It's pine boards. I had thought pine boards lasted for longer than 20 yearsish!

Thing is, I'm hoping to get a new kitchen next year. I haven't begun to look into the new kitchen project yet, but I'm thinking ikea most likely as budget is not huge.

Do I replace the floor after we get a new kitchen?

Does anyone know why my floor now seems so very hypersensitive? I'm not sure if perhaps it was sanded in such a way that could have caused a less than robust surface, and if it's retrievable.

i don't have any answers about the wooden floor, but I wouldn't replace the floor before getting a new kitchen as the new floor could be damaged when you have the kitchen fitted. The best time to do it would be at the same time as having a new kitchen.
