Is it possible? Can't justify the cost of a locksmith and I'm keen to get the lock changed ASAP.

it will most likely be a Eurocylinder. As long as you have the key you can easily change it. you need a screwdriver. Take out the old one and measure the projection on both sides and get a new one of the same lengths. The end of the cylinder should not project enough for a burglar to grip and wrench it.

There will be vids on Videojug or similar.

You can get new cylinders at lock shops or here

Thank you!!

Think I've sorted it (B&Q - delivery for tomorrow). Yale one. They're good, yes?

Loads of screws involved... Whole strip. All down the door! Shock

You should just be able to replace the barrel of the lock, i.e. the part the key fits into. No need to change anything else. I'm a bit concerned it sounds as though you are changing the multipoint system around the door?

I have done this and it is quite straightforward!

If you haven't already bought the lock, maybe get one of those theft-proof cylinders rather than the standard ones, which can be snapped very easily.
