How long will it typically take from appointing selling agent to getting house on Rightmove

I am busily rug-doctoring, painting, de-cluttering to get agents around to value and confirm their fee.

I'm sure they will all tell me that they can get the house on Rightmove within 48 hours of us signing their contract but, realistically, how long does it take to get EPC, photos and listing done and on Rightmove?

Our agents took pics on the Friday afternoon and we went on rightmove on the sat morn. Floor plan and epc were added later.

Our agent came round mid-morning to measure up, take notes and photos, and house was on rightmove by teatime. EPC was booked same day and done a couple of days later (added to rightmove the same day it was carried out).

Great - that's reassuring. I have small mucky children so don't want the period between deep cleaning my house and doing viewings to be too long!

Week max

One thing I would say is that unchecked blurb often gets uploaded which you then need to check through and get amended - for everything from typos to inaccuracies. Personally I would rather they made sure it had been checked by their customer before they put it on 'tinternet.

Good point. I would definitely want to review the listing before it was posted.

Mine came round with a contract for me to sign, took photos and measurements whilst they were there, and had it up on Rightmove within a couple of hours.

Mine was checked before it went up, btw - email makes things very quick! It is a pain keeping the house pristine though, three weeks so far and several viewings but no offers yet. At least DD is only a baby and not too messy yet :)

Good luck!

Five minutes it seemed like! I'd barely made it home to our rented place.. I was very pleasantly surprised!

It shouldn't take anymore than a few days between appointing an agent and getting it up on Rightmove. We had estate agents come round and value the house on a Friday, we appointed one on the Monday and the house was put on Rightmove on Wednesday. Luckily for us we accepted an offer on our house on the Saturday!

Fallon, that was lucky! It would be amazing to only have a couple of days of viewings. Mind you, we've no idea where we're moving to so the reality of having to find a property to buy would probably be quite shocking.

Thanks thatsmadted touch wood it is all going well so far. We decided to wait until we found a house we wanted to buy until we put it on the market. If we had done it the other way I would have been scared of having to settle for somewhere I wasn't 100% about. The market seems to have really picked up so I bet it won't take you long to get an offer. Good luck.
