Which electric shower to choose for new en-suite? please advise.

Our loft conversion is due to start in April and we've been looking for sanitaryware etc for the new en-suite. We haven't got exact measurements yet until the room is actually constructed, but we've taken the architect's drawings to a few plumbing supply shops for ideas. The room will only be very small - just a WC, handbasin and quadrant shower cubicle. We've recently had a quote from City Plumbing (they came on several recommendations from other tradesmen). The salesman has quoted for a Roca mini pack handbasin with built in cupboard and Roca V2 mixer tap and includes an illuminated mirror over (it's nice and slimline), a Kudos 910mm curved quadrant shower enclosure with Kudos concept tray and waste, then the Iflo Cascada WC. We had intended to go for an Aqualisa 10.8kw shower (probably Vitalise SL or SLX) but he didn't seem so keen and was steering us towards the Mira Sport Max with airboost, so we're now rather confused and would appreciate advice from any readers who have experience of any of these - is the Mira really worth the extra money? Also the shower enclosure he said that Kudos is a premium brand but again would an Iflo (their own brand ) be equally as good? The shower has to be an electric one because we no longer have any water storage tanks and have just had a new Worcester Bosch combi installed a few weeks ago, all the wiring will obviously be brand new so we want to go for the maximum shower output that we can get.
TIA

all electric showers are pathetically weedy.

Have you got a combi boiler, or a hot water cylinder?

oh, a combi.

Why don't you run the shower off that?

Aqualisa is a better brand than Mira.

I don't know if he is steering you towards higher-margin products.

Thanks for the replies so far. The building work will be carried out by a specialist loft conversion company who have told us to go for an electric shower, they will install everything but we need to supply it. We had the new boiler (Worcester Bosch Greenstar 32cdi) installed at the end of Feb in preparation for the work, and in doing so the Heating Engineer removed the tanks in the loft, immersion tank on the first floor and the ancient (30+ year old) boiler in the kitchen. Having read previous threads on Mumsnet we were considering the Aqualisa which I've seen for about £150 online, the Mira sport max one which the salesman was favouring would be about £278. City Plumbing do deal with Aqualisa but was really pushing the Mira, which is why we'd welcome opinions on them or whether the 'airflow' thing is just a gimmick? No one has mentioned running a shower off the combi so I assume an electric one would just be simpler to install etc from their point of view. I know obviously that if the boiler ever failed (it has a five year warranty) at least an electric shower would provide hot water for washing. Also we're in Hampshire on the south coast so a hard water area.

Run the shower off the combi boiler for hot water, combine with cold water and a thermostatic shower mixer valve with a pump.

Brilliant water flow, great shower.

We had some resistance from the plumber for doing this, kept regressing and saying and an electric shower. We persevered and are very pleased with the results. Enjoy.
