Would this kitchen work or annoy?

We are looking at replacing our kitchen but because it's small and i'd like to keep my pantry, it's proving tricky to design. A kitchen designer has suggested this but i'm worried that the workspace on the left would be awkward as hubby and I are both righthanded so I imagine us reaching over cooker into the corner and knocking pan handles sling the way Hmm
I also have pelvic problems which make repeated twisting rather painful. Our only other option is to have the cooker at the end of the run against a wall. Not ideal but This is where the cooker is and it seems to work ok apart from the fact that a new cooker would be closer to tge wall as we presently have a gap of about 5-10 cm.
Any opinions welcome Smile

My mum's kitchen is like this but the mirror image. It works OK.

i think mirror image would work fine as the workspace would be on the right. The thing that concerns me is that the workspace would be on the left but we are right handed . . .

We've got a long narrow kitchen that is exactly like that apart from there being a double cupboard above the cooker to the left. I've never really thought about the right handed thing, it works fine for us Smile

I had workspace both sides of my oven and left/ right hand never came into it. I think the swivel of the hips to access the oven will be more of a problem and the unit draw and oven door getting into each other's way.

Thanks everyone. I think if there was a worktop alongside the oven but on the left I wouldn't be so worried. Do you think the corner surface might be usable thus negating the need to twist? I have visions of knocking pans with my right arm as I reach across??? It's hard to imagine as I've never cooked with a corner unit before - only straight runs.
What are your opinions on putting the cooker in a corner at the end of the run? (Not at an angle, just a wall at the back and side)

Hi - ask to see how a corner cabinet opens in the showroom - as some would be dicficult to open fully in that position as would knock on the oven handle - so not ideal !
Without seeing the rest of the room plan it's difficult to advise an alternative . You are quite right to question this !
