Is the 1st offer always lower than the buyer will go?

How do we know when to accept an offer?
I fluctuate between feeling like I am just being greedy by wanting more / worrying that accepting the first offer is just daft and doing ourselves out of what they expect to end up having to pay!

Usually, yes Smile

Probably... If we were to find a house that was marketed at or close to the value we thought it was worth we'd probably still go in with a slightly lower offer than we were willing to pay because otherwise we'd always wonder if we'd have been able to get it cheaper.

Could you maybe say "no but we'd accept £X"?

Our 1st viewer offered us the asking price there and then whilst viewing the house for the 1st time!.... Makes us wonder whether we priced it too low and we could have got more but hey ho :/

Be wary tho, as often buyers try and knock you down after the survey comes back so dont accept anything too low

I think so, but they might have a couple of houses they're looking at.

Know the feeling! I think it depends on what you’ve seen to move to. Sometimes it’s good to sell t a realistic price just to get moved!
