Hello, two house owning novices here. You dear people have already helped us a lot about surveys which was very gratefully received. Thank you!
We haven't completed on our house purchase yet, but the kitchen is basically non-existent so we are wanting to get organised to have new one fitted ASAP after we get the keys!
Kitchen is teeny weeny galley, and we need completely new fitted kitchen, self-levelling floor, flooring, plastering, tiling, plumbing. The works.
We are not confident at all with arranging all the bits/trades ourselves, so the 'package' thing where we just send in Homebase or whoever to do the whole thing is what we would prefer to do. The finance thing attached to this idea also would help us free up the £8k kitchen budget we have left from deposit and fees to have a 'disaster' fund available immediately whilst we find our feet in our new purchase!
My question is, who apart from Homebase does this? Do ikea? Have heard good things about their kitchens but want whole fitting package from wherever we buy kitchen. Does anyone else do it that you would recommend? We're talking proper basic kitchen by the way, no frilly lovely expensive bits allowed :( Budget is £8k for everything including labour and oven/hob/extractor.
Will need to buy fridge and washing machine seperately to survive while we wait for kitchen!
