Extra wide 90cm oven - useful or fad?

We're renovating a house and have put an extension on to create a new kitchen-diner family room. At the moment were renting and have a horrible gas cooker which if you use more than one shelf doesn't cook anything evenly.
I love the idea of one big oven which everything can go into without needing to juggle stuff warming/ waiting to cook. Has anyone had a wider oven, say 90cm? Do they cook evenly ? Are they better than 2 single ovens? I saw one on James Martins cooking program, not the Saturday kitchen, seems good.
Any advice gladly received, thanks.

But what about when you need to cook things at different temps?

If it a 90 cm wide oven then unless you fill your oven when you cook, you will be heating lots of empty space. If its a range, check how wide each oven is and if you can fit the largest dish you cook into it.

Sorry, I should have said, we're thinking of a 90cm wide integrated oven, not a range, so yes it'd be one wide space.
Good point re different temps, it's been a while since I've had a decent kitchen,

I'm wondering now if either 2 single ovens or just s normal double oven is better?

I've got 2 single ovens, side by side, and it's perfect for me. TBH I usually use one but the 2nd one is great for bread/meringues/warming plates when I need it. The induction hob is over the top and it's all built into a chimney breast.
The range experience but cheaper and more convenient.

Thanks, hadn't thought of two below the hob, I'm thinking of a wide hob so it might work.

We have a 90cm knackered old thing but not sure how I'd live without a big oven now

I had a 30 inch (76cm) oven in my old house in the US, I really miss that oven the one we have here in UK is 60cm and It's just too small. I'd love a 90cm room for the Christmas turkey.

I really like the fact that I have a small (and quick to heat up) oven which is only about 50cm wide, and then a fill 60cm wide bigger oven underneath (but then I have an absolutely tiny kitchen). I like lots of oven space but after once renting somewhere with a double oven I appreciate having more than one oven so I can do different things at the same time at different temps. I think have a single large oven would be annoying because of the time taken to reach temperature and the waste of energy if you are only cooking a single dish.

So I'd go for as many oven as you can fit into a given space as long as one with small and super efficient and another is big enough for the Christmas turkey.

I have a standalone range type thing which has a 30 cm and a 60cm oven. I find it great because most of my cooking is done in the small one, but if I want to batch cook (or do the Christmas turkey) I have plenty of space. I think it must depend a lot on the type of cooking you do...

Unless you routinely cook very large roasts, I can't see how it would be an improvement on a double/two singles. Less efficient and you are stuvk at one temperature. We have gone for a double - to be honest the small second oven in the double will probably get the most use day to day.

No dont. Too big for coupke of sausages and chips. I only end up using it for big dinners. Dream of two normal ones at eye level.
