engineered oak floors - will I need multi ply? Or will 3 ply be ok

Hi there,

Does any one know if you'd need the stability of multi ply in a standard house setting? I know it's more stable to temperatures but not sure what qualifies as a big temperature fluctuation. It'll going in the whole house apart from the bathroom and stairs, so will be in the kitchen, and we have standard radiator heating.
Thanks for any help - I've been going in circles for months and have to order this weekend. Also If any one has an opinion on if click or t&g is better - I like the thought of being able to remove click easily incase we need to reach pipes etc.

With standard radiator heating in the British climate, you would be able to put down solid if you wanted. Both types of engineered will be more stable than this, so you should be fine with either I think.

Thanks Shove, that's a good point. Maybe I should have got a few solid wood samples too. Hmmm.
