Installing picture hook to dry wall?

Not sure if that's what you call the wall (but it's hollow sounding rather than solid)

Want to hang a clock that weight about 1.5 kg and don't want it to come crashing down

I don't think something that light would need anything more than a properly fixed picture hook?

I use expanding metal rawlplugs on our plasterboard walls, but that's for hanging shelves or cupboards etc. I've just used picture hooks with the accompanying brass pins for pictures or clocks.

This for eg holds max 4kgs.

sounds like a stud wall. You either need to use plasterboard anchors or put the fixing in one of the battens.

if it is a dry-lined wall then don't make holes in it at all.

Thanks Sleepy - have homebase brass pin ones that says holds up to 7kg. Just don't want that clock to come crashing down!
