Has anyone sold their home via online estate agent?

We are going to put our flat on the market and are considering using an online agent in order to avoid the extortionate estate agent fees. Could anyone share their experiences please?
How much more work does it involve? Will we sell as quick as going down the conventional route? We are in London. Thanks.

@ bryonyelf - it seems misguided to constantly back up an industry in another state that you clearly know little about beyond general similarities - just because you work in the same field in RURAL Scotland.

The OP is in London - different country - London is mental anyway - incomparable with rural Scotland or almost anywhere else in UK

Spend a few days dealing with Foxtons in Dulwich et al and then tell us what you think about London agents - they're not the same as rural Scotish agents - test it and see
