Farrow and Ball for Exterior Masonry

We are painting our house.

We'll use Farrow and Ball on the inside as that's what we've already got and the finish is lovely but I wondered whether it's worthwhile on the outside. It would be much cheaper to take the colour code to another paint retailer and have them mix up paint to replicate the Farrow and Ball colours.

This may be less than useful, but I've heard good things about Mylands. Would that be any cheaper?

I don't know. I shall research though. Never heard of this brand before.

Cumulates have only recently started supplying to the retail trade. Been around ages (100 years?) to the trade.

I've only used F&B outside on woodwork, again because the colour and finish were lovely. It was rubbish and came off when I washed it with fairy liquid. Never again.

Not tough enough ime

The last place we bought has f&b on external woodwork. Rubbish. We have had quotes for doing the masonry and three v well regarded painters have recommended against f&b. Note we have put little greene on internal walls so not against poncey overpriced paints on principle...

Little Greene is much better paint than F and B
