chalk paint on kitchen cabinets?

Hi. does anyone have any experience good or bad of painting vinyl wrapped kitchen cabinet doors? I was thinking of trying chalk paint (maybe annie sloan unless any other recommendations) as that claims to not need a primer but not sure what protection it would need as a top coat.

Lindt, I painted my kitchen table, which came with the house (everything in my entire house is cheap crap in disguise!). It was orangey varnished pine. I painted the legs with Annie Sloan and three coats of wax, but I thought the top needed to be tougher, so I sanded it back, stained it dark oak then four coats of matt varnish. I have to say I'm really pleased with it - still not the table I'd buy if I had £300 going spare, but it looks a million times better than it did.

I'm a great fan of chalk paint, but it is supposed to give you the shabby chic look - i.e. a bit battered and chipped. I have achieved a more flawless finish with it, but never on furniture that gets a lot of wear.

If you want to use a good chalk paint on your kitchen that is hard wearing and doesnt need waxing or sealing I would recommend Autentico's Versante. You can get it in Matt and Eggshell (5% gloss). I painted my kitchen with it and it really is good! Just make sure the surface is very clean before you paint.

Autentico Versante Outdoor Matt is absolutely brilliant on kitchen unit doors as it is self priming, moisture resistant and tough. I've used it a lot and would thoroughly recommend it!
