Shutters in box bay window?

Have any of you got them, and if so, can you give me an idea of price? I'm thinking a 30s semi kind of box bay, if we're being specific.

Yes, we got ours in the sale from John Lewis last January (I think they subcontract it out to another company though) for around £1200 - it was a good discount from what I remember. Ours is a 1930's house with large bay window and they look great, much better than curtains.

We have them in a Victorian terrace bay window and they were around £1000. We're in South London and the price varies dependent upon what finish you have, quality of wood etc and they are made entirely bespoke. Love them though, keep the rooms cooler in summer+warmer in winter too. HTH.

We have them throughout our 30s terrace and I absolutely love them. Would want again in any house we move to in future. They look great in 30s box bays (our lounge is L-shaped and huge) and curtains are very pricey for such huge windows anyway that the investment seemed worth it.

I always want to wax lyrical on threads about shutters. Yes, they can be expensive, but when I worked out what I would have to pay to have curtains made and fitted, the cost of the shutters wasn't that much different. And (a bonus for me!) I didn't have to try to find curtain material that would suit the present colour scheme, nor a future colour scheme if I decided to redecorate.

My shutters fold right back, which lets in more light than drawn-back curtains would. And I can close individual shutters if I'm getting glare from the sun reflecting off the windows of the houses opposite.
