What's your thoughts.

fairer I think but will increase house process in my area in the short term and we definitely don't need that.

Is it really effective since today?? (that would be excellent news as I am in the process of buying)

RCheshire · 04/12/2014 13:36

Yes. people in the process of completing a purchase (below ~900k) are the winners here. Too recent for most sellers to start getting greedy and translating that into higher prices, but just in time for you to save some money on stamp!

Much fairer. It was so daft having those thresholds before, which made it impossible to sell a house just above £250k/£500k etc.

DSis is pissed off; she is about to exchange on a £1.3m house and it will cost her more but she can afford it

This is brilliant news for me and DH, as we are just in the process of buying our first house, due to move in the new year. We are saving over £1000, and now I have my eyes on a very niace American style fridge-freezer!

It's great news. I'm exchanging on Monday and it's saving me just over 1k. I'm very pleased!
