moving a kitchen sink

I'm trying to plan a new kitchen and it would be great if I could move the kitchen sink. Are there any restrictions? What are the cost implications? Can I move it anywhere? There's a water meter under it currently - does that make it more difficult/expensive?

Our budget is quite tight so I'm not sure it would be the best idea. Also, is it a bad use of space to not have it under a windrow? Thanks for reading.

It is an easy plumbing job. The hardest bit will be moving the units.

The waste pipe has to run downhill to wherever it goes. Remember to include standpipes for washing machine, dishwasher, boiler condensate. It is better than attaching them to the sink trap. Also put in washing machine taps wherever you expect to put machines. The taps do not have to be right at the back of the cabinet, they can be put, handy, near the front.

Run the pipes neatly rather than attaching extensions to the current position. Put Climaflex or similar insulation on the waterpipes.
