We paid £2800 for a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 42 CDI classic combi.

We paid 2600 for boiler and installation last week. Paying in instalments.

I just paid £2890 for the same with two new radiators, thermostatic valves to all radiators and the fitting of a shower mixer tap. In London.

Are the TRVs a good investment?

I think you have to have TRVs if you don't have them to get it signed off. So in answer to your question- yes!

specialsubject · 26/10/2014 09:38

TRVs are a tenner each max and allow you to control the heating much better. No-brainer.

you might be able to get cheaper than the above depending on the size of boiler you need. Anyway, start with the gas-safe site to organise quotes.

We paid 2600 for a new Worcester Bosch boiler and new mahoosive hot water cylinder. This included running a new gas supply from the meter cupboard.

It's definitely worth getting multiple quotes as the hightest quote we had was 5750 for the same work (and that wasn't BG either).
