very easy as long as they are the same size and the in/out are in the same place, no idea how difficult it is if you need to move any of the connections, DH did it very quickly when ours needed to be replaced.

thank you!

off of measure.... with precision.

it is easy if the pipes come up through a wooden floor where you don't mind taking up a board.

It is more difficult if you have fixed down laminate, engineered, real wood or sheet fake wood.

It is particularly difficult if the pipes come up through a solid concrete floor.

technically easy, but messy even if like for like.

you need to drain down the entire system. You need to disconnect the heavy old radiator and get it out of the house without spilling black water everywhere. Then you need to fit the new brackets, put the heavy new radiator on, connect it up, refill the system, find the leak, empty the system, correct the leak and then refill the system.

perfectly possible but allow time and effort. Oh, and buy a new bottle of corrosion inhibitor.

guess what we did recently?

a tip:

when you take a radiator off the wall, after tipping it into a bucket, turn it upside down before you carry it away.

The open holes will then be at the top so water and sludge will not dribble out.

now that's right up there on the 'why didn't I think of that?' list. Although the thing was so heavy I don't think we had that much control.. Fortunately the floor was well covered.
