Help! Need to make a tile decision. Can't

I'm doing our kitchen on a mon existent budget

I picked up an end of line job lot of tiles cheap. They're fine. And enough left over to keep a few spares

But then I found some very similar but a bit nicer on a local selling site

Here's a pic of the nicer ones. They're nicer because they've got a 'honed' surface and look more like real stone. The others are smooth

If you've got anything similar can you tell me if dirt and grip collects in the dips of a more bumpy tile? that might help me decide if I have to go through the hassle of trying to resell the first lot

Thanks

We had 'bumpy' tiles in our kitchen, and yes, they were trickier to clean. We had to really keep on top of the mopping else dirt would become ingrained and we'd have to scrub them on our hands and knees! That said, those tiles don't look as 'grainy' as ours so look like they'd be a little easier.

That said I did really like them and I liked that they were not as slippy. They also complimented our shaker style kitchen. Shiny tiles would have looked wrong for us - but would have looked good with a more modern glossy kitchen I'm sure.

I would always use smooth tiles as my aim would be to have a tiled surface look tiled, not done in stone. Neighbours of mine put in tiles that looked like stone on both the walls at the back of the counter and on the floor and tbh, what it looked like was 'dirty' after a week or two.

I had tiles like that once. Every so often I'd have to get down on my hands and knees and clean them with a nail brush.

Do you have a photo of the smooth tile?

These are the other ones

The colour is very similar and I don't much like cleaning so could be persuaded away from the other ones, but these look just a bit faker

Kitchen is shaker style

Avoid white grout on a tiled floor as it will never look clean.

No i was going to have grey

I would use the smooth tiles -- shaker doesn't really lend itself to a rustic/stone tile look imo.

Thanks for all your input

I'm still undecided. I like that the pattern, and vomits variation on the tough tiles is due to their roughness, whereas that on the smooth is a printed on fakey stone

Our bathroom has fake travertine tiles which I loath. Hate how you can spot the same pattern on various tiles and I worry that these floor ones are the same. However practically and financially and the hassle factor makes me lean towards the smooth. Ahhhhh it's so hard

Vomits??? It's meant to say colour.
