Which trade do I need to move a wall forward about a metre? It's not load bearing and no pipes or electrics involved...could a joiner do it, or does it need to be a builder?

What kind of wall? By non-load-bearing do you mean a timber stud, covered in plasterboard and then skimmed? A brick wall can also be non-load-bearing (& for that matter a timber wall can be!).

Assuming timber stud and plasterboard then you are looking for handyman/joinery skills and plastering skills. They may well come in one package if the stud frame is straightforward.

Yes, timber stud...thank you!

Having been removing/moving/adding a number such walls recently... depending on what the wall divides and whether sound transfer through the wall matters...consider using acoustic plasterboard and using Rockwool or similar to sound-insulate the void. Will add maybe £100 all in to the cost.

Top tip, thanks for that!!
