Victorian mixer two with shower head, how easy to replace myself?

My mixer taps, large, victorian style, with shower attachment are heading towards the big plumbing graveyard in the sky.

I need to replace them but as we will be changing the bathroom next year, I don't want to pay for a plumber to do it.

Could I do this myself easily, or do I have no chance? I have a set of spanners and steely determination..........

They are awkward rather than difficult to fit, I have a one handed wrench with a self locking jaw that makes it easier to pinch up the locking nuts.
Well here's the way I would do it, turn off the stop cock and drain the water hot and cold. Before anything else wrap about three thickness of PTFE tape round the tap ends of the threads where the pipe goes on.Remove old taps , clean up top bath surface. Make sure the O rings if fitted are not twisted on the underside of the tap. Put tap in place and then black rubber washer followed by usually another hard washer.
Only finger tighten until pipes connected, don't completely tighten the pipe connector until you now tighten up the tap retainer nuts. That's to give wiggle room for marrying pipes up to taps

You may have braided 22mm flexi hoses going to the bath taps if you have make sure the rubber washer is still captive and looks in good nick.

I use some plumbers mate on the underside of the tap where it contacts bath, just a thin gasket smear.

There is a possibility you may have isolators on each supply pipe in which case turn the screw to turn off water to each supply pipe. I have fitted isolators to everything in this house. It cost a few pounds but so easy when you have a problem. You are not stuck without water.

This is similar to my wrench , but the head also swivels on mine.
