hi there, we are building a double story side extension and a loft extension witch the council gives us permission for the loft extension and the double story extension but now they refusing the roof of the double story side extension how it will site on the existing roof with the doormat it is really frustrating and we are in real day-lama so if any one had or know someone that had build similar house bearing in mind that the house is a corner house and that way they are refusing it!!!!!!!! so please if anyone know something please let us know thank you.

Sorry, your post isn't easy to read, but have you tried asking the planning officer what isn't acceptable about it? Or if you're using an agent they may be able to come up with some ideas.

It doesn't matter what other people have done, it will be based on the policies in your area which are available online. I agree with the other poster though and suggest you contact the planning officer for a chat through.

If the Council have granted planning permission for the two individual elements then it is highly unusual for them to revoke it for one element after it has been approved. Are you sure they granted planning permission, or was it Building Regulation approval?
Are you trying to change the design from what the Council originally approved - if so, they are entirely able to refuse the new scheme.
Check with the planning officer exactly what the situation is, an if there is anything you can do to refuse the plans to make them acceptable. If not, and you are definite about wanting the design then your only option is to take the refusal and then lodge an appeal with the planning inspectorate, but you may still be unsuccessful.
