Does anyone know if you can have a double glazing panel repaired that has gone misty or do you have to replace the glass. Just looking for the best option to save money.

Yes it can be repaired. We had one done in kitchen, I think it was around £20 or £30 for the work - airtight again now.

it is possible to have the glass drilled, washed out, and left with a tiny vent to the outside.

On the other hand, I recently had three (small) dg units replaced with new into the existing frames by my local window repairman, for £75 the lot, so it was cheaper than I had expected. Large panes, especially patio doors, are considerably more expensive.

I need this doing as well. where do I find someone to do it. windows company has quoted hundreds for 2 units

We used a local company that advertise in free local paper.
Man turned up, gave us a quote, it was surprisingly cheap for 2 windows, so we told him to go ahead. He took the measurements and the new glass was fitted a few weeks later. It took 2 fitters a few minutes.

It was incredibly easy and less than £200, felt silly for putting it off for ages.

diets

there will be a local independent repairman in your town, much cheaper than a big DG company. Your window cleaner may recommend one (mine did).

A local glazier will be able to sort out new double glazed units for you as others have said.
