help choosing a pink

I want to paint the guest bedroom pink but am having a nightmare finding the right colour. It is a light room. I am looking for a dusky pink. Cinder Rose by Farrow and Ball is the closest to anything I like. Has anyone ever used this? I was also thinking about possibly using valspar paint as there are a few good pinks in their range but have NO experience of using it in my house. Does anyone know roughly what it costs? Please help!

I painted my bedroom a shade of magnolia with a hint of pink once and it looked bright pink on the walls. The tester size patch had looked lovely.

Ahem. Middleton pink by F and B?

Lovely shade IMO.

We used two Laura Ashley pinks in dd's room.

The darker one is quite dusky and really pretty imo.

have you looked at pink ground by F&B - it's not dusky but lovely - if you go on pinterest and search ben pentreath he's done his living room in it (i think) - gorgeous colour.

I can recommend Valspar - I've just finished a large shower room in which I'd used a combination of pink and gloss black tiles, with black glass sinks and shower panel - my attempt at a sort of very modern art deco Grin. And could I match/tone the pink tiles? As you say OP, a nightmare. I ended up in B&Q looking at all the shades in Valspar, and then went back down with a spare tile to check against. There are so many shade cards it was pretty simple to get the exact match (in my case Petal Grove) and the way they are arranged you can go paler or darker, knowing you have the tone right.
Next time I buy paint I will just go straight there, with a sample of fabric from curtains or whatever and have a good browse to find just the right shade.

For the pink I bought a 2.5l tin (of premium), which I think cost about £28ish. It went on very easily.
I am also running low on several other paints (Dulux trade) for touching up marks on existing walls - lots of building work and blundering around going on - and was told that if I just paint a streak on a card - a couple of layers, say - and take it in, they can pop it into their machine and reproduce it; you can then buy it by the tester pot. So useful.

Crown pashmina and hint of pashmina are worth a look.

I used cinder rose in my bathroom, it was a hideous mauve kind of colour when done, i had to paint straight over it

Butterfly Wing by Home base Sanctuary is a lovely pinky lilac.
