Stacking tumble dryer on top of washing machine

Dear collective,
I'm just about to complete on a house with a utility where the washing machine is under a worksurface next to a sink. We unfortunately really need a tumble dryer (don't use it often but with small DC it's unavoidable)
Is it reasonable to stack the tumble dryer on top of the washing machine? If so do I need a special housing unit? Can I just remove the worksurface and stack the tumble dryer on top of the washing machine?
Thanks
For variou

As many others have already said. We have our washing m/c on the floor and our tumble dryer on the worktop over in our utility room.

Hi , I want to stack washing machine and dryer
I noticed that the dryer depth is 59.9cm
And the washing depth is 54.5 cm
Is there is a problem? Putting the dryer up ?

Our kitchen fitter said he'd fit an extra bit of support under the work top for us to just put the dryer on the work top.

Our washing machine doesn't fit a standard stacking unit as it has a curved front, so we'd have to buy a special one and replace the dryer to fit the special one. F*ck that.

Also our condensor dryer works fine (had one previously that was crap) but this fairly new one is good.

We have ours on the worksurface and it works well

Here is our stack in the utility room. There is a little pop out drawer in the stacking kit which slides out in quite a satisfying way, although in truth I’ve never actually used it in anger.

I have a nagging anxiety that the whole setup will be a real bastard to unstack when something eventually goes wrong with the washing machine.

I empty the condensed water from the tumble dryer into the washing machine at the start of every wash - this softens the water so the detergent works well and only a small amount needed.
I also use it in the iron - 20 years and no scale whatsoever!

My dryer is stacked on top of the washer in my en-suite bathroom - has a special cupboard built with a shelf for the dryer - and the electric has to be hard wired not plugs but the effort it saves taking stuff downstairs and the space it saves in the kitchen is great!

Hi , can I change the kitchen door to sliding one ?
Should I buy the fire rated kit for the sliding door ?
It’s a bit expensive
