Help! Please!!!
We're having a new kitchen fitted next week and I still haven't made a decision on the sink.
I'm thinking stainless steel, but is it worth paying a hit more for one or should I keep it budget?

Any tips much appreciated!

what sort of worktop are you having?

I think a straightforward satin-finish stainless sink-and-a-half with integrated drainer is easiest to live with.

Sit-on has less water leak/penetration problems than inset, which has less than undermount.

Thank you - we're having laminate work top. So, you think satin finish? Is that less likely to scratch? We currently have a franke stainless steel sink, a shiny finish, which still looks good but it is scratched.

mirror finish stainless shows marks very easily (also on pans).

Brushed finish you can clean with a nylon scourer, as long as you always rub in the direction of the brushing, and never in circles, and rub away marks.

I am especially fond of the Astracast Bistro sink. As it sits on the unit with no worktop under it, drips and splashes around the taps are of no consequence. It is not very cheap.
