Just about to finalise my new kitchen and I don't want to think I have missed anything.

What do you love about your kitchen and what could you not live without ?

Budget is big at around 80K - what 'toys' would you add ?

Mmmm...love a bit of kitchen porn :)

Must haves:

2 full size ovens (I have 2 full spec Neff ovens, but you could go with 1 full spec and one simpler) - it makes it so much easier to manage entertaining, even if you're not the most amazing chef, if you can (for example) have a roast cooking in one oven and the dessert in another at the same time.

Warming drawer

Full size (2 metre) fridge and twin full size freezer. Overflow fridge/freezer (could be in utility room).

Ironing drawer/cupboard: with a pull out ironing board and permanent home for iron, so that it doesn't need to be left out to cool down after use.

Gas and electric hob. I would never have put this in myself, but I've discovered I love having a 2 ring electric hob alongside my 5 ring Neff gas hob...it functions like a really effective hot plate and is just enough over-spill for when I'm doing really huge amounts of catering.

2 sinks, 2 draining boards, 2 waste disposals (or one in the middle if you have the sinks side by side).

Counter top hot/cold water filter unit. Better than a quooker, although it does take up a bit of space.

Underfloor heating.

Lots of patience :)

Nope, never spilt anything down my pop up socket hole either...I usually have a vase of flowers next to it at the end of the island so it's not really a work area I guess, probably helps.

oneplan I'm really keen on the idea of appliance cupboard for my magimix and microwave but don't know how this would work. How did you do yours?

If I were spending 80k on a kitchen I would have a handmade douglas fir kitchen.

Really good multi ring gas burners withbuilt-in griddle.

Properly designed lighting scheme by a lighting professional.

Large walk-in pantry with cold slab storage.

Vegetable drawer.

And deffo a quooker as othrrs have said.
