Engineered wood hard wax

I am soon to install a lovely engineered wood floor throughout the ground floor of my house. I have chosen a contemporary finish which has white limed oak I think. Albeit it has a white oil finish, the company I am purchasing from have suggested using a hard wax oil to protect it further. This all sounds reasonable however I want to ensure two things:

1 - I can oil it easily and achieve a professional finish

2 - I don't want any colour change to the floor..

Does anyone have experience of oiling a floor and any recommendation of product and hints tops would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Barmaid!

It looks nice but I would go for darker natural light oak boards. The reason I say that is once a plank is damaged you will never be able to get that look back.
With an oak board you can sand and fill using colored filler. I laid a light colored floor for somebody and it showed up all the defects massively .When a plank was sanded and varnished it stood out. Wooden floors do get damaged although oak is a hardwood it does score and splinter even sometimes. Just my opinion have laid a few floors in parawood bamboo and oak. Natural oak med to light oak wears best

I'm afraid it's already bought! They mentioned that I can sand use white oil to restore it to former glory..

I've oiled a few floors with Osmo Polyx oil. It's easy to do, you just brush or wipe on thinly and give it half a day to dry. Colour change wise it depends on the product - can you ask your supplier to give you a sample and some testers? It' might slightly brighten/deepen the finish but you might find this does the job.

Thankyou, that's looks ideal! Will also see about testers text
