Induction cookers - do I need new pans?

Moved into a place with a brand new induction cooker. Of our pans only 2 have worked. Is there any gadget or way around this or do we have to replace them all? In particular we used to love the Bialletti Moka pot to make espresso but that doesn't work either :(

Yup, you're going to need induction pots and pans.

Le Creuset bits work too if you have any of those?

Oh and the pots/pans need to be the same size as the rings. My frying pan is too big for any of the rings and doesn't work.

You can test the pans with a magnet. The pans need to comprise ferrous metal (iron).

We had to invest in new pans. We have a special plate which can be used with non-induction cookware which is useful for items we don't use a lot (e.g. preserving pan and pressure cooker). We have just bought a new Bialetti espresso maker as we have had to retire our other (aluminium) espresso makers.

Special plate is a completely separate ring or something you can put over the induction ring? Thanks. The bialletti induction version looks good.

Ah, thanks iggymama. That may be the solution....we can then replace the pans gradually over the next few years if we buy one of those converters.
