Tasteful bathroom colour scheme

Thanks to you lovely MNetters I gave up tiling my bathrooms & have gone for tongue & groove.
I'm thinking Strong White & Cornforth white or Ammonite. Should I do darker walls & paler walls or the other way round? Will these colours look gloomy?
The rest of the house has a lot of blues.

Is it a light bathroom? Does it get sun?

What colour are your towels and bathmat!

I'd say paler walls, so that the paler colour is at eye level when standing doing your teeth etc, and the darker colour more enveloping when you're sitting in the bath hopefully relaxing!

It's east facing so early morning light. Towels & bath mat will be new.
Darker at the bottom would look better with the floor too. Thank you.

yy, the darker colour at the bottom.

this with either this or this, right? I don't think there's enough contrast there. Might you consider a darker dark or a less dark 'white'?

House white on the bottom and Pointing on the top, would be equally unimposing as the colours you've chosen, but more uplifting, warmer, and Pointing looks to be a great colour for maximising a sense of sun and light.

Just playing with ideas, ruralmyth!

You can get blue towels and bathmat!

Cornforth white on the bottom and strong white on the walls. Or consider purbeck stone on your tongue and groove for a bolder, warm grey.

House white comes up very lemon yellow and I'm afraid it's a bit passé.

Strong white looks good with the worktop (off white/creamy beige marble). I see what you mean about Cornforth...I haven't seen Purbeck Stone IRL. How does it compare to Lamp Room Grey? I'm open to all suggestions, so thank you. BTW the floor is Tumbled Limestone that's mid grey/brown.
