Dulux Timeless or White Jasmine?

You decide :)

Seriously I am driving myself mad looking at the walls I've sploshed samples on, and I just cannot decide between these two!!!

It's for an entire hallway so I feel the pressure to get it right or it'll be a costly mistake.

In fairness I don't think either would a 'mistake' Blush but I'm over-thinking it a bit now...

Thanks madrigal!
Yes that's why I think I am leaning towards it... My friend has timeless in her very modern townhouse and it looks absolutely stunning but I just wonder if it isn't quite as good as white jasmine for our Edwardian house... We have a very decorative stained glass door and ceiling roses etc which I think is a nice fit with the slightly creamy shade of thd jasmine... Have done a larger test patch of timeless now though and it also looks great so I am probably going to end up flipping a coin or something!!

Every room in my house is painted in Timeless. It goes with everything.

PrimalLass · 24/08/2014 11:14

emeraldgirl1 - put it up against other colours. It changes slightly to go with whatever is up against it, somehow.

Thanks Primallass!!

Timeless was our choice for hall and we tested a dozen colours.

Cotton White has a blueish tinge like pbw so won't suit you.

Metoo123 · 10/09/2015 10:48

hello, I have had exact same first world/ashamed of myself dilemma...timeless white or jasmine...which did you decide on in the end and are you happy with it? Our hallway is sunny, wide and tall ceilings.. thanks!

This is useful info. I painted almost every room in our house in white, hallway and porch entrances in Magnolia It's all ready for an upgrade now, so maybe Timeless?

Is it less of a 'colour ' than Magnolia?

Can I resurrect this thread ?
Any more views on Timeless or Jasmine white ?

AesopsMables · 02/04/2016 07:27

We live in an Edwardian house and have just painted woodwork in Timeless and walls in Wimbourne White (F&B) to one of the bedrooms.

I really like Timeless for woodwork as not keen on PBW for all the doors. We are now wanting to change more rooms for woodwork in Timeless!

Timeless is my default CBA to think about it colour. It doesn't seem to cover as well as it used to though, and I need to repaint the kitchen soon. Does anyone know if it's available in the Dulux trade formula?

I have jasmine white in my hall stairs and landing, but they have loads of natural light and the colour is softened by the time of day and quantity of sun.

iminshock · 02/04/2016 21:06

Thanks everyone. Is decided on Jasmine but when I got to homebase they had none !! £9 for 2.5 litres this weekend.
So I came away with 10 litres of Timeless ! Grin

You can get timeless in trade dulux. They can find it on their mixing machine.

cressetmama · 03/04/2016 15:03

thank you, Chablis.

I love jasmine White. Have used it in several properties now and always looks good - not too cold like some whites

Mynxie · 04/04/2016 11:00

My DP renovates older buildings and told me they always use Jasmine for all the paint work - ceiling and woodwork as well as walls. He's actually decorated my large living room this way and it looks great - much bigger than before with a nice warm tint to it.
