Yep, you need to get rid of all. Once you've scraped as much of it off as you can, use a sealant remover to get the rest. It's a horrible job, but any left will just mean it gets mouldy again quicker.

thanks is sealant remover a gadget or a spray?? i have a uni-bond scrapper gadget that i've been using already, how do i get all the black mouldy stuff out out the tiny crack?? is there another special gadget or spray??

Don't forget to half fill the bath before resealing.

yes with hot water, i will be re-sealing it after i've had an early bath to give it as much chance as possible to dry and seal properly!!
there's just too much black mouldy stuff, i know i need to get rid of it, but how when its in a tiny gap??

Sealant remover or similar. It's a gunky gel which you spread over and let work for a while to dissolve all the little bits. Is the mould in the gap between the bath and the tiles? I guess that would be pretty hard to do anything about. As long as the bath and tiles are free of mould/sealant it should be ok.

never knew there was sealant remover, will try and get some, yes some of the black mouldy stuff i can see between the bath and the tile, but the gap is too tiny, going to try a stanley knife next, carefully!!

just a reminder of the re-sealing process once it is all clean - fill the bath with water. Apply sealant. Leave for 24 hours. Empty bath.
