This 'industrial trend'

Just wondered what people's thoughts are?

Do you think it will date or is it timeless?

I like it, I know it's personal opinion but I just wondered what people's thoughts were?

The industrial look has been in and out as long as I can remember. I like it, but I'd stick to the odd light fitting or cabinet, rather than a floor-to-ceiling 'Look'.

I rather like it in a city riverside loft way.
Not sure how well it translates to a suburban kitchen though.
Definitely better than barley twists & bunches of dried lavender remembers 1990.

In a converted industrial building it is probably timeless. It will go out of fashion but always look like it belongs. Anywhere else it will date. Don't let that put you off. Everything dates.

I like it in the right context. Very much. In the wrong context it sucks just like everything else B&Q push down our throats.

Brick shaped metro tiles in a new build with a standard height ceiling and plastic windows just looks silly - tidy, modern, clean but it misses the point.

I'm a great believer in context for interior design. Some things just look wrong in some homes. But go for what you like really. Don't just do something because it's fashionable.

Interesting comments. Yeah I suppose like anything it's all about the setting. I may go for a few timeless pieces.
