Belfast sinks

I'm at the sink choosing stage of our kitchen design, I'm happy with a Belfast, we're both short and I like the style so all good there just wavering over the size and style. Kitchen design allows for a double but that means the 2 individual sinks are small than a regular Belfast I think. Is a double better or a 1.5 or is there such a thing as a 1/3 2/3 split?!

I've seen one that has a smaller section for drainage, like for pouring things out while you wash up. I'll try and find a picture.

If you are short, would you find using the sink at the back easy? I have a twin Belfast sink - equal size, side by side. I wash up in one and dry in the other. I also have a stainless steel veg prep sink and a dishwasher. If you have room for a double Belfast, go for it. A small sink is pretty useless in my view - and I have had several of them!

I have a large (900mm ) single Belfast sink - and I can put two washing up bowls in it if I want - or just use it as one large sink - or leave something soaking /thawing in a bowl and still wash the salad under the tap- so I would say it's more versetile than a double sink ?!

works for us as a family - although being quite tall - I'm glad I have a DW too !!!!

We agree on a big sink though!!!!

Hi Chillisauce, What is the brand of the belfast sink that you had posted? Sorry just saw the picture and it looks nice. Many thanks.
