I told the EA £200 for everything. But now she wants to meet to see what she wants and what she doesn't. Which is annoying as I don't want anything and don't want the arse of sorting it out, via free cycle, etc.

There are 2x 2 seater marks and spencers fabric sofas.
Another leather sofa
A solid oak sideboard
A washing machine.
A nice looking double bed and mattress.
A rather cheap looking double white wardrobe.
A real cheap Argos blue and brown wardrobe and matching bed
Another cheap looking bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

I reckon she,ll want the sofas and sideboard and washing machine and want me to get rid of the rest.

I don't live there so even free cycle is an arse.

Dh reckons I tell her she has everything or nothing. Hmm

Which is tempting.

Other option is to tell her £50 per sofa, £100 for the sideboard, £50 for the washing machine.

Or £200 for the entire contents.

How about contacting British Heart Foundation, Helen & Douglas House or Ian Rennie Hospice etc to see if they'll collect the goods she doesn't wish to purchase??

That's an idea however one of the beds is a cabin bed thing which won't go down the stairs and I don't have much inclination to take it apart.

I guess I could take an axe to it and stick it on the log burner.....

Id tell her its a job lot. £200. If she doesnt want some of it then you can sell it all elsewhere.

Another option is to see what she lists and then say "ok thatll be £200". if she asks why its the same price say you would only discount if all items were taken.

GalaxyInMyPants · 31/07/2014 18:25

Yes. I thought £200 was a bargain and I did it cheap as I don't want the hassle.

If she wants single items I think its fair to price it more.

I agree with £200 for the lot. If she doesn't want some of it, she can call the charity shops to pick up, or sell it herself.
My Mum just bought her place with everything, it was easier than going through and picking out stuff, we then sorted through what she wanted in our own time after the sale. I ended up with some stuff too as we had got rid of so much with our big move.

Yay, she agreed to £200 for the lot.
