Loft conversion-possible asbestos

Hi, long time lurker here.
We are in the process of buying a house. It's an older property (1935) with a newer extension (20yrs ago). The results of our homebuyer report came back yesterday and the only real issue was that the cement between the roof tiles may contain asbestos. Have read up on this and we aren't overly concerned, it was v common in builds of that time, only an issue if disturbed, etc. We won't be pulling out from the sale based on this info.
However, our plan for the house was to do a loft conversion within a few years to allow a better configuration of rooms. Obviously, adding dormers will disturb the roof tiles and will mean we have to deal with the issue.
Can I ask if any lovely MNers had a similar issue when doing their loft conversion, what did you do and roughly how much extra did it cost to deal with the asbestos?
I assume this issue came up for the vendors when they purchased and then carried out the extension. I wonder what they did, who would be best placed to enquire, EA or our solicitors?
TIA.

Can't help but interested in any answers you get as we just got our asbestos survey back and have asbestos in several walls and ceilings (also a 1930s house). We're a week away from exchanging and I'm trying to find out how much to remove it. Our surveyor told us it'd cost about 500 + vat to have someone accompany anyone putting in a new loft hatch to make sure it's done safely and check all's well before we move in.
