Engineered oak flooring - oiled or UVA varnish?

We are having an engineered oak floor fitted in our new kitchen/diner/snug extension and am not sure which to go for? The floor will only be 14mm thick. Does anyone have any advice on this please? Thanks very much.

I would recommend osmo hardwax oil if that's an option - it's fantastic stuff. v hardwearing and can be refinished - but we haven't needed to in nearly 8 years.

Second ogre on Osmo - it's fantastic. Got it on original boards in the kitchen and engineered boards in the bathroom (which regularly gets flooded thanks to DC). Repels everything.

Definitely oiled so that you can resand and re-oil if necessary,

Thank you. Unfortunately it looks like I have already ordered uv lacquer Sad
