Which cheap curtains do you prefer for my kitchen?

I need some cheap curtains for the french windows in my kitchen, I've also a window but this will remain curtainless.

They need to be cheap as the animals use and abuse the kitchen, think cats, mice, blood, climbing curtains etc... I think dunelm look to be the cheapest.
I took my curtains down today to wash and they were full of holes, so they've gone in the bin!

The kitchen is painted in farrow and ball crunch and french grey, so it's mainly green, with a charcoal sofa (dog bed), orangey/yellowy cabinets, black glittery marble work surface, cream and black tiles..

Options I think are :
A

B

I'm not keen on C.
Love B but they don't seem to be quite as good colourwise as A which are very nice.

I would go A.

A .
Unless there is also some pink/plum going on in the room that you havent mentioned.

ThatBloodyWoman · 13/07/2014 21:43

Agree with Kill.

By the sounds of what you've said, introducing another colour seems too busy.

Karbea · 13/07/2014 21:43

No there's no other colour, just thought it might be nice to introduce some. I'll need to take a paint swatch to make sure the green on A isn't to teal.

Are the French windows overlooked and are you likely to have them open in the summer? I don't think I would bother with curtains in a kitchen as they are likely to be a dirt/grease magnet.

Karbea · 14/07/2014 18:48

They aren't really overlooked. I guess I hadn't thought of not having any as it would be extra work to take down the rail and hook thingies and fill the holes and paint of the filler etc.

Yeah, just give up on the curtains. Removing the pole etc. is probably less faff TBH.

Seriouslyffs · 14/07/2014 19:05

Another vote for no curtains!

PrimalLass · 15/07/2014 10:35

I would just have no curtains.

Seriouslyffs · 16/07/2014 08:48

And you don't have to rush to remove the pole and fittings. Live with it for a year, over winter and see how it feels. I have a pair of cheap ikea curtains I put up occasionally, wash and put away and then put up when I feel like a change. The hanging rail is quite ornate and I suspend trinkets the children have made, ornaments etc. off it.
