The floor I love is a Panaget floor an I have foun it on special offer. The total area is 16m2 just over. We can get the panaget for £765 once underlay and beading etc. special offer will end soon.

However when I first started shopping around, I had not been expecting to spend so much. We did find an ok floor in topps tiles but the quality is so much worse and the boards are wider, and it's only £563 till Saturday inc 10%.

I really want wood as ds2 has allergies. Do not like quickstep or amtico, the feel or sound of. But cannot get my head around spending 700+ on such a small area! Yet I fear I would regret the compromise floor forever!

I am back to considering carpet :-/ which I loathe!! Help!!!

We are not very flush if that helps and it would be a stretch. But doable just

We have a wood floor. You get what you pay for; I wish I'd spent more.

I would spend the extra £200 for the floor you really want. You won't think about the cost after a few weeks!

well looked after it will last a lifetime, think of the extra £200 over the next 20 years, you would replace carpet at least a couple of time in that timespan.

Thank you ladies, I think you have confirmed what I really know in my heart of hearts. bikerunski what have you got?

I've just forecast a good month this month, all being well (self employed) - takes the sting out of it a teensy bit!!
